Every journey has a beginning shaped by values, family and the environment in which we grow. Hailing from the beautiful state of Kerala, my story began in a home where discipline, integrity and respect for others were deeply rooted in everyday life. Growing up in a family that emphasized strong moral values and hard work, I learned early that success is not just about personal achievements, but about the positive impact we create in the lives of others.

These early lessons became the foundation of my personality – guiding me to always go the extra mile, whether in personal life or in professional responsibilities. The belief that dedication and sincerity can transform challenges into opportunities has stayed with me throughout my career.

My professional journey in aviation began when I joined SpiceJet on 31 March 2006. What started as an opportunity soon evolved into a deeply fulfilling career spanning almost two decades. Over these years, the aviation industry has offered countless experiences that have shaped my perspective, strengthened my leadership abilities and deepened my commitment to service excellence.

Throughout my tenure, I have had the privilege of working across several important aviation hubs including Mumbai, Sharjah, Dubai and Bengaluru. Each station brought unique challenges and opportunities, allowing me to learn, adapt and grow within a dynamic operational environment.

A particularly enriching phase of my career was the three years spent in the Aviation Security Department, where the responsibility of ensuring passenger safety and operational compliance strengthened my sense of accountability and vigilance. Working in security provided invaluable insights into aviation operations and reinforced the importance of teamwork, precision and discipline.

Over the years, I have also been fortunate to contribute to key operational initiatives. One of the most memorable milestones was being deputed to Sharjah to support the station setup, an experience that allowed me to be part of building operations from the ground up and working closely with diverse teams to establish smooth functioning.

Recognition and appreciation have always served as motivating factors throughout my journey. Some of the highlights of my career include being honoured as the SpiceJet Champion – Ancillary Revenue Generator in 2024 and 2025, reflecting a strong focus on delivering value both to passengers and to the organization. Earlier, I was also recognized with:

• Spice Star Award for Best Airport Manager during July, August and September 2023
• Spice Star Award as Duty Manager at Bengaluru for January, February and March 2022.

Among the earlier milestones, receiving the Best Staff Award in December 2009 remains a special memory, marking the beginning of a path filled with encouragement and recognition. I have also received appreciation from the HR Department for effectively handling passenger IROPS situations, demonstrating the importance of calm leadership and passenger care during challenging operational scenarios.

One of the most gratifying aspects of working in aviation is the opportunity to positively influence passenger experiences. Receiving appreciation from passengers at Dubai Airport for service excellence has been particularly meaningful; reminding me those even small acts of dedication can create lasting impressions. Additionally, recognition from our Captain and the Chief Strategy Officer Mr. GP Gupta Sir for exceptional teamwork reinforced my belief that success in aviation is always the result of collective effort.

Looking back on nearly twenty years with SpiceJet, the journey has been filled with learning, resilience and growth. The aviation industry is fast-paced and constantly evolving, but it is this very dynamism that makes every day exciting and meaningful.

As I continue this journey, my focus remains on continuous personal and professional development, mentoring colleagues, strengthening teamwork and contributing to operational excellence. The values instilled during my upbringing in Kerala – discipline, humility and commitment continue to guide my approach toward both work and life.

With the strong foundation built over the years and the support of an incredible team, the future holds even greater opportunities. Together, we move forward with optimism, dedication and the shared vision of creating exceptional travel experiences while building a stronger and brighter future for SpiceJet.
